Recent Work and WIP Projects:
Auckland Grammar School (AGC)
Have a brand new, modern purpose-built 33mm x 25m Concrete block and ELBE PVC lined swimming pool in Arctic White, with a modern overflow channel, lane markings, finger gripped tiles, and balance tank circulation system. This magnificent new school pool for AGS will serve the wider AGC community and is purposely set up for competitive Waterpolo games and specialist aquatics training.
Coombes Aquatic's talented team was responsible for the water services, swimming pool heating, and pool tank fit-out. Aspec Construction Limited for the building works.
Wai Ariki Hot Springs & Spa - Rotorua
On the stunning lake foreshore of Lake Rotorua, a beautiful day spa including, multiple water spaces, sauna, and steam rooms are in the midst of construction. Coombes Aquatics along with Myrtha- Italy, is responsible for the installation of the multiple stainless-steel geothermal pools, saunas, and steam rooms. Even at the "work in progress" stage, it is easy to see the Wai Ariki Hot Springs and Spa has the desired wellness wow factor!

Levin's Children's Splash pad
The Horowhenua District Council has created an enchanting new children's Splash Pad at Jubilee Park, in Levin, for the enjoyment of the wider Horowhenua community. Coombes Aquatics using colourful, interactive, Aquatix water toys have created an exciting and interactive water play splash pad for children of all ages to enjoy. Inground balance tanks, heat pump water heating, and a very well-engineered plant room ensure the easy daily running of this captivating splash pad.

Kings Swim School
Kings Swim School is a well-established privately run swim school in Christchurch, that provides swimming lessons for all ages and has outgrown its existing indoor learn-to-swim facilities. Create Limited, HMC Constructions Limited, and Coombes Aquatics Limited are building Kings Swim School's new indoor purpose-built Aquatic Centre Facilities, featuring a competition 25m x 10m and 25m x 4m learn to swim pool, with the planned opening in May 2023.
Te Hāpua Halswell Summer Pool's New Heating
Over the winter months, the old Te Hāpua gas water heating system has been replaced by three large energy-efficient, environmentally friendly Hot Water Heat Pumps. Te Hāpua Halswell summer pool is already well-versed in the heating, water, and chemical sustainability advantages of using MacBall Thermal pool covers to retain, heat, water, and chemicals lost in the evaporation process. The addition of a Hydroslide MacBall thermal pool cover system, completes the triple pool set, and when the Te Hāpua pools are closed for the day, the covers are deployed to lock in the days generated water heat and reduce valuable water, and chemicals lost overnight with the changing day/night temperature.
