CAL worked with Heb Construction to create an innovative Children's splash pad filled with an array of interesting and colourful water shaped fountains and cannons to challenge the sensors and provide hours of beachside fun.
The iconic New Brighton whale from the old playground has been cloned and now resides in a purpose-built paddling pool to the delight of young and old.
Water conservation and heating efficiencies were at the forefront of the New Brighton splash pad and whale pool design. Water from the splash pad and whale pool drain overnight into purpose-built underground water tanks for safety, heating and water conservation.
The CAL Christchurch team is back on the New Brighton beach site, working next door, on the specialist water services for the forthcoming New Brighton Hot Water Salt Pools, due to open late 2019.
