We’ve kicked off the year by diving straight into action—getting several primary school swimming pools ready for the final term of the summer swim season. There’s nothing quite as satisfying as returning to a recently refurbished school pool and seeing the principal heading out for lunchtime pool duty, sun hat in hand. It’s a reminder of how vital these spaces are—not just for cooling off on a hot day, but for fostering water play, friendship, and the all-important development of water confidence in our tamariki.
And let’s give a big shout-out to the incredible teachers, school managers, and caretakers who generously give up their lunch breaks, and after-hours time, to ensure our tamariki have access to this valuable recreational resources, within their school communities.
We also love hearing feedback, from schools, where we’ve completed renovations. Whether it's a plant room upgrade or a full pool tank transformation, it's music to our ears when students and staff start asking for an earlier pool opening or a longer swim season—that's how we know we’ve done our job right!
Typical school pool upgrades involve enhancements to the plant room, heating systems, and chemical control for smoother, safer, and more efficient operations. For the pool tank itself, waterproofing with an ELBE membrane or a full ROCS Pools renovation can make a world of difference—not just in appearance, but in performance.
Behind the scenes, our team is solving leaks, improving circulation, adding heating, and optimising mechanical systems, to reduce energy, chemical, and labour costs. But the real reward?
