The refurbished Foxton pool was reopened by the Horowhenua District Council on Tuesday 23 January 2024 to the delight of the wider Foxton community. The feature photo was taken by Warwick Smith, from Stuff, at the pool reopening, and published on the Stuff website, on 24 January 2024. The photo features four young cousins riding an inflatable at the Foxton Pool reopening, and having their absolute best time.
Coombes Aquatics' role in the Foxton pool renovation was to reline and make watertight the 25m x 10m lane pool, the 10m x 5m teaching or learn to swim pool, and the beach entry toddler's pool. This required the removal of the existing old pool linings and waterline tiles and the upgrading of the three pool tank's water services for a modern aesthetic.
A new ELBE-reinforced Membrane in Arctic White was installed in all three water spaces with striking black lane markings and wall targets added to the 25m lap pool. ELBLE Arctic White anti-slip was installed in the toddler's beach entry swimming pool, to ensure safe entry and exit of precious little feet. All three pool tanks are finished in stylish blue-grey finger-gripped waterline tiles, for a modern, polished, pool edge finish.
The result is happy bathers and a refurbished pool complex the Horowhenua District Council can be proud of, with the assurance of a 10-year ELBE water-tight guarantee.
